„Action“
at the L.A. Turners
Los Angeles

support young filmmakers
Cameras
are ready to roll. Film producer Michael Bundy’s
calls for „Quiet on the set“ and „Action“ resound in the
reception area of the Los Angeles Turners Center on Wilshire Boulevard.
This is the signal for the actors and actresses who are already in
their positions to start the key scene of „The Script“. It is the last
day of the shooting for which
the crew turned the otherwise quiet Turner Center into a buzzing film
location.
Since
their founding in 1871 as „Turnverein Germania“, the Los Angeles
Turners have always offered a great deal of support to young talents in
cultural and sports events in the United States. Only recently,
German-World.com, Inc., a young Internet company, had found its first home
on L.A. Turners premises. Therefore, it was not difficult for
young film producer Michael Bundy to find an open mind in Dennis
Fredricks, president of the Los Angeles Turners, for his wish to use the
Turner Center as film location for „The Script“. This 30 minutes
feature film describes the struggle of a young author to have his first
screenplay accepted by one of the film giants in Hollywood.
„For
a production that is not in the position to burn millions of dollars, it
is
very difficult to find suitable film locations“, Michael Bundy explains,
„therefore, we truly appreciate it that the L.A. Turners granted us
permission to not only shoot in their building but also int he offices of
German-World.com which were perfect for the screenwriter’s study.“
With
a highly motivated team of 20 people, it was no problem to keep the tight
shooting schedule of one day for some of the key scenes of the movie.
There was even time for Los-Angeles-Turner-President Dennis Fredericks and
German-World.com-President Alexander Hast for a little chat with film
maker Michael Bundy in the sunny gardens of the location. All team members
felt obviously very inspired and at ease in the pleasant and serene
atmosphere in the middle of Los Angeles. They were very happy that an
organization like the Turners extended their support to their young team.
Alexander
Hast who was recently accepted as new member of the Los Angeles Turners
initiated the contact. He and Michael Bundy are both members of the „UP
Entertainment Group“ which belongs to the church „Understanding
Principles for Better Living“ of singer and TV star Della Reese (Touched
by an Angel).
