„Action“ at the L.A. Turners

Los Angeles Turners, Inc. and German-World.com, Inc.  support young filmmakers

On location at the receptionist’s desk of the Turner Center: Film maker Michael Bundy is controlling the camera angle.Cameras are ready to roll. Film producer Michael Bundy’s  calls for „Quiet on the set“ and „Action“ resound in the reception area of the Los Angeles Turners Center on Wilshire Boulevard.  This is the signal for the actors and actresses who are already in their positions to start the key scene of „The Script“. It is the last day of the  shooting for which the crew turned the otherwise quiet Turner Center into a buzzing film location.

Since their founding in 1871 as „Turnverein Germania“, the Los Angeles Turners have always offered a great deal of support to young talents in Change of scene: Creative discussions between Michael Bundy and part of his team in the offices of German-World.com. cultural and sports events in the United States. Only recently, German-World.com, Inc., a young Internet company, had found its first home on L.A. Turners premises. Therefore, it was not difficult for  young film producer Michael Bundy to find an open mind in Dennis Fredricks, president of the Los Angeles Turners, for his wish to use the Turner Center as film location for „The Script“. This 30 minutes feature film describes the struggle of a young author to have his first screenplay accepted by one of the film giants in Hollywood.

„For a production that is not in the position to burn millions of dollars, it isLunch break in the garden of the L.A. Turners. The movie team had it's own catering, and guests were also invited to join. very difficult to find suitable film locations“, Michael Bundy explains, „therefore, we truly appreciate it that the L.A. Turners granted us permission to not only shoot in their building but also int he offices of German-World.com which were perfect for the screenwriter’s study.“

The crew after the Wrap. The last scene has been taken and the film is ready for cut and postproduction. With a highly motivated team of 20 people, it was no problem to keep the tight shooting schedule of one day for some of the key scenes of the movie. There was even time for Los-Angeles-Turner-President Dennis Fredericks and German-World.com-President Alexander Hast for a little chat with film maker Michael Bundy in the sunny gardens of the location. All team members felt obviously very inspired and at ease in the pleasant and serene atmosphere in the middle of Los Angeles. They were very happy that an organization like the Turners extended their support to their young team.

Alexander Hast who was recently accepted as new member of the Los Angeles Turners initiated the contact. He and Michael Bundy are both members of the „UP Entertainment Group“ which belongs to the church „Understanding Principles for Better Living“ of singer and TV star Della Reese (Touched by an Angel).
